Internal Printer Parts

Toner Module – contains the toner used in the printing
process, which you can replace when the toner runs
out. (Approximately 3,000 pages at 5% coverage.)
Photoconductor Module – contains the
electrophotographic (EP) drum. Handle with the
utmost care. (Estimated life 20,000 pages)
14. Transport Roller – moves the paper through the
printer.

15. Transfer Unit (discharge plate) – a high voltage
plate that attracts the toner to the paper.
16. Paper Guide (for the 250 sheet hopper) – changes
the guide position to the size of the paper.
17. 250 Sheet Hopper (Optional) – when fitted to the
printer, and used with the multipurpose paper
tray, permits printing up to 400 pages.
18. Fuser Unit – fixes the toner image on the paper.
19. Transfer Unit Cleaner – used to clean the transfer
unit.
