Upp er a nchorage point

Adjust height such that the belt p asses
over the wearer's shoulder and rests
against the shoulder. It must not pass over
the neck or upper arm.
Rem oving t he b el t
To remove the belt, d epress the red push-
button on the buckle; the belt will retrac t
autom atic ally.
Two-latch belt

Before fitting the belt, first insert lower
latch plate into the buckle on the outside of
the seat.
The b elt can now be used in the sam e way
as a standard seat belt.

Warnin g
The seat b elt will not be effective in the
event of an accident if the lower latch is
not c orrectly fitted.
When releasing the seat belt, ensure that
the central buckle is alwa ys released
before the buckle on the side of the seat.
Alw ays remove the lower latch plate from
the outside buckle before rem ov ing seats
from the vehicle or to facilitate access to
the rear seats 3 - see pa ge 48.
