Increa sed pressure resulting from tyre
warm-up must not be red uced, otherw ise
the p ressure may drop below the
permissible minimum.
After having checked the ty re p ressures,
securely tighten the valve caps.
Incorrect inflation pressures will impair
safety, vehicle handling , comfort and fuel
economy and will increase tyre wear.

Warning
If the pressure is too low, this ca n result in
consid erable tyre warm-up and internal
dam age, lead ing to tread separation
and ev en to ty re blow-out at high speeds.
Hidden ty re d amage is not eliminated by
subsequently adjusting the inflation
pressure.
Tyre condition, wheel co nditio n
Driving over sha rp edg es can lead to
hidden tyre damage and w heel d amage
which is only noticed la ter on: there is a
danger of tyre blow-out.
Drive over edges slowly and at a right
angle if possible. When parking, ensure
that the tyres are not pressed ag ainst the
edge of the kerb.
