O il change, oil filter change
Engine oil changes are to be carried out
depending on time intervals or mileage
intervals, since oil loses its lubrication
properties not only through engine
opera tion but also through ageing.
We recommend that you use genuine
Vauxhall oil filters.

Used engine oil filters and empty oil
containers should not b e disposed of a s
domestic refuse. We rec om mend that
you entrust oil and oil filter changes to a
Vauxhall Authorised Rep airer, w ho is
fam ilia r with legal requirements
regarding disposal of used oil and ca n
thus help to protect both the environment
and your health.

Diesel fuel filter

Dra in fuel filter of residual water at every
engine oil c hange.
Plac e a container und erneath the filter
housing. Loosen the knurled screws on the
filter cover a nd on the lower pa rt of filter by
approx. one turn to drain off the water.
The filter is drained as soon as diesel
emerges from the knurled screw at the
bottom . Retig hten the two screw s.
Check fuel filter at shorter interv als if the
vehicle is subjected to extreme op erating
conditions such a s high humidity (primarily
in coastal a reas), extremely high or low
outside temperatures and sub stantially
varying da ytime and night-tim e
temperatures.

Engine air flow indicator
O n certain models, an indicator is located
in the engine induction system and
indicates if the air-inta ke to the engine is
restricted .

Red tell-tale = Restricted
If the red tell-tale is d isplay ed w hen the
eng ine is running consult a workshop. We
recommend your Vaux hall Authorised
Repairer.
