Click Add. The Add IPMI BMC Wizard will appear. Click Next.

The Select an Add Process window will open.
To add one BMC to a new target device, enable the Add a single BMC to a new target
device radio button, then click Next. Go to step 5.
To add one BMC to an existing target device, enable the Add a single BMC to an existing
target device radio button, then click Next. Go to step 6.
To discover one or more BMCs, enable the Discover multiple BMCs within an IP address
range radio button. Enter a valid IP address range in the From and To fields in standard
dot notation, then click Next. Go to step 7.

The Add a Single BMC window will open. Enter the IP address of the BMC and a 1-64
character name for the target device. Then click Next. Go to step 8.

The Add a Single BMC window will open. Enter the IP address of the BMC. The Target
Device Name list will include all target devices for which the user has configuration rights.
You may filter the list; see Filtering information in a window on page 10. Select a target device
name, then click Next. Go to step 8.

The Discovering BMCs window will open, indicating the progress of the scan. Only one
discovery process may occur at one time. If another discovery is already in progress (initiated
by you or another user), you are prompted to cancel it.
When the scan completes, the Discovered BMCs window will open, listing the IP addresses of
the discovered BMCs and the associated target device names (which default to the BMC IP
address). Click the checkboxes next to the BMCs to be added. To select all BMCs on the page,
click the checkbox next to IP Address at the top of the list.
If you are an appliance administrator, you may enable or disable the Merge Target Devices
checkbox if duplicate target device names are found. If you are not an appliance administrator,
this checkbox is automatically enabled and cannot be disabled.
Click Next.

The Enter BMC Credentials window will open. If required, type a username and password
(maximum 16 characters each) that will be used for communication with the BMC. The
credential fields may be left blank for anonymous access, if allowed. The credentials must
match the values configured on the BMC. (If multiple BMCs are being added by discovery, the
credentials will be applied to all of them.) Then click Next.

The Select Events to Forward window will open.
To disable alert forwarding for all sensors, enable the Disable Alert Forwarding for all sensors
radio button, then click Next.
To enable alert forwarding for one or more sensors:
a.
Enable the Enable Alert Forwarding for the following selected sensor types radio button.
(If multiple BMCs are being added by discovery, the alert forwarding configuration will
be applied to all of them.)
