Click Appliance Settings in the side navigation bar and then click Ports and then click Serial.
The Appliance Serial Ports window will open.

Click on the name of a serial port.

Click Communication in the side navigation bar. The Appliance Serial Port Communications
Settings window will open.
5.
Change settings as needed: baud rate, number of data bits per character, parity rate, number of
stop bits and/or flow control.
6.
Click Save and then click Close. The Appliances Serial Ports window will open.
7.
Click Close. The Units View window will open.
To change the NFS port settings on a CCM appliance physical serial port:
1.
In a Units View window containing appliances (see Accessing Units View windows on
page 88), click on the CCM appliance name.
2.
Click Appliance Settings in the side navigation bar and then click Ports. The Appliance Serial
Ports window will open.
3.
Click on the name of a serial port.
4.
Click NFS History File in the side navigation bar. The NFS History File window will open.
5.
To enable NFS history file operations on that port, enable the Enable NFS History File
checkbox. If you enable NFS history file operations, you may optionally:
a.
Enter a name in the History File field. (This name is appended to the mount point
configured for the CCM appliance to yield a full pathname.) You may use special
characters to indicate the file date; see the CCM Installer/User Guide.
b.
Specify a 0-3584 byte threshold for writing of serial data in the Buffer Size field. If the
Buffer Size and Buffer Interval values are both zero, data is written immediately. If both
Buffer Size and Buffer Interval are nonzero, the first threshold that is reached will cause
the write.
c.
Specify a 0-65536 second interval for writing of serial data in the Buffer Time
Interval field.
The NFS History Status area contains the current descriptive status.
6.
Click Save and then click Close.
To change the port alert settings on a CCM or CPS appliance physical serial port:
1.
In a Units View window containing appliances (see Accessing Units View windows on
page 88), click on the CCM appliance name.
2.
Click Appliance Settings in the side navigation bar and then click Ports. The Appliance Serial
Ports window will open.
3.
Click on a port name.
4.
Click Alerts in the side navigation bar. The Port Alerts Settings window will open.
5.
Add, delete or change the entries for up to ten alert strings.
