Avaya S8300 Media Server with G350 or G700 Media Gateway
The S8300 Media Server, like the S8700 Media Server, accommodates several levels of
availability performance. In contrast to the S8700 that uses various levels of duplication for
processing and Port Network (PN) connectivity for bearer and signaling to add heightened
layers of availability, the S8300 is designed to use a Local Spare Processor (LSP). LSP
architecture provides added availability, and survivability to a network of small to medium-sized
offices.
