IC CARD function
Description of Operation
The following key operation is possible with respect to IC CARD function.

LOAD
LOCK
DELETE

With TRIM button pressed, the file selected changes as follows:
<Note>
Do not take out the IC card during operation on IC card. It may otherwise cause damage to the content
of the IC card.
Warning Message
When IC CARD mode is selected, the following warning message is sometimes displayed at the VTR
status display 3.
In that case, cancel the warning according to the instruction.
IC card is not inserted: Insert the IC card.
N O
IC card is not formatted*: Format the IC card according to the instruction.
U N F O M A T T E D
* This warning also appears when an IC card which was formatted on a machine other than this unit has been
inserted.
Operation on IC card is inhibited: When REMOTE/LOCAL switch J is set at "REMOTE," the
following warning message will appear and it is inhibited to operate on IC card. Shift the switch to
"LOCAL".

Description of operation
It selects the intended file.
It reads the intended file from VTR and stores it in IC card.
It reads the intended file from IC CARD and stores it in VTR.
It makes the file stored in IC CARD write inhibited or write
permitted.
It deletes the file stored in IC card.
It formats the IC card.
