Comments
A repair kit and procedure are available for repairing grid lines if
damage is not too extensive.
Some vehicles may exhibit correct operation of trunk-lid-mounted
lamps only when the lid is UP. This occurs due to frayed wiring
and/or poor grounds.
Check cargo lights in rear of wagon or liftback-type vehicles, truck
lights (where applicable) in sedans.
Be sure to check valet position of trunk key on applicable models.
This is the "trunk key turn left and remove" position, which disables
the inside trunk release when leaving the car with parking attendants.
Must meet OEM standard for the specific model.
Fiber board tire cover is not broken/warped.
Be sure tools are correctly positioned and secured.
