Comments
Closely examine oil pan drain plug, filler cap, oil filter and old
oil for signs of sludge and/or abuse. If symptoms exist, further
examination such as removal of oil pan and/or valve covers may
be required to confirm problem. Oil gel renders vehicle ineligible
for the TCUV program.
Do not add brake fluid now if the brake pads will be replaced. When
the caliper pistons are pushed back (to make room for new pads),
the excess fluid will damage under-hood painted surfaces. Check
ATF level with engine idling and hot, and transmission in neutral.
Comments
Airbag deployment or any signs that airbag covers have been
painted renders the vehicle permanently ineligible for certification.
