Comments
A/C or heater noise can be result of bent or incorrectly positioned
piping due to accident damage or incorrect installation.
A/C and heater performance should be checked during engine
warm-up and hot idle tests. If in doubt, use refrigerant recycling
machine and recharge per specification.
Excessive engine drone may be result of bent or warped exhaust
system. Can also be caused by "jumped" motor mounts or engine
bay distortion due to accident damage.
A pulsation (beating) may indicate a tire balance issue.
Comments
Check frame/unibody for evidence of damage; no non-factory
welds; no cracks; not bent; no evidence of flood damage. See
"Explanation of Structural (Frame/Unibody) Damage" following
Mechanical Standards and Process Notes.
Panels should fit flush with no uneven gaps. Check for any high
or low panel alignment.
Inspect steering rack, linkage, bushings, control arms and dust boots.
