STEREO RECORDING/PLAYBACK
CONNECTIONS
AND
OPERATION
This VCR is capable
of receiving
stereo and SAP bradcasts
where available-no
modification
or special
equipment is required. Exernal stereo system or compatible stereo TV is required for stereo playback.

1. Connect
Antenna,
VCR
and TV.
Refer
to
"ANTENNA/VCR
CONNECTIONS"
and "VCR/TV
CONNECTIONS" on pages 6 and 7.
2. Connect the video cable to "VIDEO OUT" of your
VCR. Connect the other end to "VIDEO
IN" of
your TV.
3. Connect the audio cable to "AUDIO OUT" (L), (R)
of your VCR. Connect the other ends to "AUDIO
IN" (L), (R) of your TV. If you have a stereo
system, connect the audio cable to "LINE IN" (L),
(R) of your stereo system.

NOTE:
When the stereo
signal
is noisy and
interrupted,
set the BROADCAST
TYPE display
(STEREO/MONO/SAP)
to "MONO".
• Stereo Playback
1. Turn on your stereo system and hold the sound of
"IV to minimum.
2. Turn on IV and select Channel 3 or 4 (depending
upon your VCR channel).
3. Insert a cassette and press "PLAY(X2)"
button.
Sound will come out in stereo, Adjust volume at
your stereo system.
NOTES:
1. Set the AUDIO MODE display (Hi-Fi/NORMAL) to
Hi-Fi position. Details are on page 12.
2. Set the AUDIO
OUTPUT
display (STEREO/
LEFT/RIGHT) to STEREO position.
