VCR PlusTM-F CHANNEL
MAPPING
FOR CONNECTION
C
Use these Channel Mapping instructions
only if
you have your
VCR connected
as shown
in
connection C on page 36.
Since you are using an A-B switch with a cable box,
you will need to divide the channels you watch into
two groups-channels
that do not require a cable box
and those that do require a cable box.
• Channels
that do not require a cable box. For
these channels, you will map any channel that has
a VCR Plus+ guide number
different
than the
number you select to watch that channel on your
"IV.
• Channels that do require a cable box. For these
channels, you will enter the output channel of your
cable box.
TO MAP CHANNELS

Press 3 to begin Channel Mapping process. The
following will appear on the TV screen.

Press 3 to select cable box with A/B switch.

The screen that appears next lists all of the VCR
Plus+ guide channel
numbers.
Pressing
and
holding the CHANNEL up or down button moves
all the numbers up or down.
_i) Make sure the TV/CAI-V function is set correctly
to CATV. Put A-B switch in "A" position.
IB) Display the VCR
Plus+ CHANNEL
MAPPING
screen. Press the VCR Plus+ button twice on the
remote control.
NOTE:
If the VCR Plus+ PROGRAM
menu
appears, when you press the VCR Plus+ button,
press VCR Plus+ again to return to the main
menu.
First press

NOTE : If the VCR Plus+ guide number is the same
as the number you select to watch that channel on
your TV, no entry is necessary. For example, if you
receive CBS on channel 8 and its VCR Plus+ guide
number is 8, no entry is necessary.
Enter the output channel of your cable box in the
CATV CH column for all channels
that require a
cable box.
In certain
areas,
some
channels
have
been
assigned more than one VCR Plus+ guide channel
number. Enter that channel next to both GUIDE CH
numbers on the CHANNEL MAPPING menu.
You may want to complete a
chart like this on a separate
piece of paper of the VCR
Plus+ guide channels
with
their corresponding
names
and
channel
numbers.
Preparing this list will help
you enter the numbers more
quickly in step 6.
