Before operating the remote control unit!
Be sure to press the proper remote control
mode selector button to set the remote control
unit to the AV mode,
While the "P - -" indication is flashing, use the shift
button and the channel (CH) buttons (-, +) to display the
preset number "P03",
Each press of the shift button adds 10 to the current preset
number in the range of PO0 to P40,
Example:
Starting with 0 t_ \

Starting with a PO0 setting, each press of the shift button

Tune in the broadcast station that is to be preset and
press the Memory button,
• A "P - -" indication flashes for 10 seconds.
Press the MEMORY button while the "P03" display is
flashing,
• The "P03" display will light and presetting will be
completed.

• Up to 40 AM or FM stations can be preset using this procedure,
• In addition to the reception frequency, the reception mode (monaural or auto) is also preset, so check the display when
presetting stations,
• If a station is preset at a number where a station is already preset, the previous station is replaced with the new station,
• The preset memory is not cleared when the power cord is unplugged,
RDS (works only on the FM band) is a broadcasting service which allows station to send additional information along with the regular
radio program signal.
The following three types of RDS information can be received on this unit:
• Program Type (PTY)
PTY identifies the type of RDS program.
The program types and their displays are as follows:

• Traffic Program (TP)
TP identifies programs that carry traffic announcements.
This allows you to easily find out the latest traffic conditions in your area before you leaving home,
• Radio Text (RT)
RT allows the RDS station to send text messages that appear on the display,
NOTE: The operations described below using the RDS, PTY and RT buttons will not function in areas in which there are no RDS
broadcasts,
Example: Listening to the station preset at number P03 (This operation is only possible from the remote control unit,)
