Digital Image Stabilization
(DIS)
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA
The digital image stabilization (DIS) function is
factory preset to on to stabilize the image by
electronically compensating for relatively minor
image shaking that is often annoying in close-
up shots.
Notes:
• The DIS function cannot compensate for
excessive image shaking.
• The DIS function does not work in CARD-
CAMERA mode.
Turning Off the DIS Function
When image shaking does not occur (e.g.
when using the camcorder on a tripod), turn off
the DIS function. The picture will appear more
natural when the DIS function is off.

In TAPE-CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA
mode, display the menu screen (see
page 31).

Touch [K] or [L] to select "Q", and
then touch [SET]. Touch [K] or [L] to
select "DIS", and then touch [SET].

Touch [K] or [L] to select "OFF", and
then touch [SET].

Touch [RETURN] until the menu screen
turns off.

indicator is turned off.
To return to DIS mode
Select "ON" and then touch [SET] in step 3
above.
