Selecting the 16-bit Audio
Recording Mode
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA
This camcorder allows you to select between
the 12-bit and 16-bit audio recording modes.
The camcorder normally records audio in the
12-bit audio recording mode. For higher-quality
audio recording, select the 16-bit audio
recording mode.

In TAPE-CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA
mode, display the menu screen (see
page 31).

Touch [K] or [L] to select "E", and then
touch [SET]. Touch [K] or [L] to select
"AUDIO MODE", and then touch [SET].

Touch [K] or [L] to select "16bit", and
then touch [SET].

Touch [RETURN] until the menu screen
turns off.
• "16bit" is displayed.

Select "12bit" and then touch [SET] in step 3
above.
Note:
• When using Audio Dubbing with 16-bit audio
recordings, both the dubbed and original
sounds will be recorded in mono (see page 79).
