Using the IR Light (Optional Acces-
sory)
Using the IR light function of the optional IR &
Flash Light allows you to record more brightly
illuminated images in dark locations.
• It is possible to set the IR light mode for the
optional IR Light by pressing the IR LIGHT
button on the camcorder.
• When the camcorder is in TAPE-CAMERA or
DUAL-CAMERA mode, the IR light mode for
the optional IR Light cycles through "IR
LIGHT 1", "IR LIGHT 2", and "IR LIGHT 3". In
CARD-CAMERA mode, only "IR LIGHT 1" is
available.
Notes:
• The camcorder also emits infrared light when the
optional IR Light is turned on.
• See page 90 for more information on the use of
the optional IR & Flash Light.

Quick Return

Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA
When you have been playing back what you
have recorded on the tape, and wish to quickly
return to recording from the end of the last
recorded scene, use the quick return function.

In TAPE-CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA
mode, display the [1/2] screen (see
page 30).

In Recording Standby mode, touch
[QUICK RTRN].
• The tape begins fast forwarding or
rewinding to the end of the last recorded
scene.
When the tape reaches the end of the last
recorded scene, [QUICK RTRN] changes
to [FINISHED], and then the camcorder
enters Recording Standby mode.
Notes:
• To cancel Quick Return, touch [QUICK RTRN]
again.
• If the cassette has been removed since the last
recording or if no recording has been made
since the cassette was loaded, Quick Return
cannot be used.
