Here is a summary of the procedures required to set the printer for use on a

Connect the network cable
Follow the instructions in the Setup Guide to connect the network cable.
Setting the Printer Frame Type
Set the frame type to select the printer protocol. You can perform this setting with the GARO
Device Setup Utility (Canon software application provided with the printer) or you can use the
printer operation panel.

Setting Up a NetWare Print Service
Perform the settings for the NetWare
with one of the following applications:
• NWADMIN or PCONSOLE (Novell software application provided with NetWare

Setting NetWare Printer Protocol
Perform this procedure to set the printer protocol. You can perform these settings with the web
browser from a computer on the network:
