This section describes the SAN rules for Novell NetWare.

Zoning is required when NetWare is used in a heterogeneous SAN with other operating systems.
Supports NetWare Cluster Services. For specific version support, contact an HP storage representative.
Supports multipathing high-availability configuration in multiple fabrics or in a single fabric with zoned
paths.
Supports boot from SAN. For more information, see
EVA4000/4100/6000/6100/8000/8100 with NetWare Clusters supports up to the maximum number
of nodes supported by NetWare.
Zoning is required when NetWare is used in a heterogeneous SAN with other operating systems.
Supports active/active or active/passive failover mode.
Multipathing: Requires Secure Path for active/passive failover and NetWare MPIO for active/active
failover when configured with two or more paths. Failover configurations support clusters with a maximum
of 16 nodes.
Supports connection of single HBA servers.
