Apple Mac OS X SAN rules

This section describes the SAN rules for Apple Mac OS X.

Supports active/active and active/passive failover mode. A multipathing driver is embedded in the host
adapter driver.
Supports multipathing high-availability configuration in multiple fabrics or in a single fabric with zoned
paths.

Zoning single HA port WWPN with single EVA port WWPN is recommended.
Single HA port WWPN zoned with multiple EVA port WWPNs to the same EVA is supported.
Single HA port WWPN zoned with multiple EVAs is supported.
Multiple HA ports support I/O load balancing.
I/O load balancing can span multiple HA ports.
