MSA1510i support

The MSA1510i is compatible with many network devices and servers. It provides Windows operating
system support and multiple management interfaces.

Network device support

The MSA1510i supports GbE components that conform to the IEEE 802.3ab (1000Base-T) standard.
It is supported with Ethernet NICs that conform to this standard.

Server support

Operating system support

The MSA1510i supports the following Windows operating systems:
Windows 2000 SP4 (32-bit)
Windows Server 2003 (32-bit)
These operating systems require the Microsoft iSCSI initiator.

Path failover software

The MSA1510i supports Microsoft MPIO basic failover software with an HP DSM driver. This software
requires a second storage controller and iSCSI module.

Management software support

The MSA1510i provides the web-based HP Storage Management Utility. It also provides a CLI, which
uses a serial port, SSH, or Telnet. The MSA1510i supports SNMP.

MSA1510i rules

Rules for using the MSA1510i include:
Maximum of 20 simultaneous initiators
Maximum of 32 LUNs

B-series iSCSI Director Blade

The B-series iSCSI Director Blade (FC4-16IP) is a gateway device between Fibre Channel targets and
iSCSI initiators. This allows iSCSI initiators in an IP SAN to access Fibre Channel storage in a Fibre
Channel SAN.
