Installation and Administration Guide

Replicating IBM Lotus Domino databases

Before you begin the migration process, you must verify the setting for skipDominoBBSDReplication in the configuration
file for the BlackBerry Enterprise Transporter (EnterpriseTransporter.exe.config). By default, the file is located at <drive>:
\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server Resource Kit\BlackBerry Enterprise Transporter. If
your computer's operating system uses UAC and does not permit you to modify the configuration file at this location, open
the virtualized copy of the EnterpriseTransporter.exe.config file in the application data folder for the current user (for
example, <drive>\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry
Enterprise Server Resource Kit).
Perform one of the following actions:
If skipDominoBBSDReplication is not set to True, do not replicate the IBM Lotus Domino databases before you run the
BlackBerry Enterprise Transporter. The BlackBerry Enterprise Transporter performs a database replication before it
migrates user accounts.
If skipDominoBBSDReplication is set to True, you must replicate the BlackBerry state database for each user account
in the destination MDM domain before you begin the migration process. If you migrate a user account without
replicating the user's BlackBerry state database in the destination MDM domain, all information for the user account is
lost, and you must remove the user account from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, delete all data on the device that is
associated with the user account, add the user account again to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, and reactivate the
device.
