Original Orientation

• Upright Images - Selects the vertical orientation, where the top of the document is
orientated towards the back of the machine.
• Sideways Images - Selects the horizontal orientation, where the top of the document
is orientated towards the left of the machine.

Reduce/Enlarge

This feature allows you to enlarge or reduce a scanned document by a specified ratio
within the range of 25-400%.
1.
Select [Reduce/Enlarge] on the
[Layout Adjustment] screen.
2.
Specify a ratio using the arrow
buttons, or select a preset
button.
3.
Select [Save].
NOTE: For the WorkCentre 5225A/5230A, when [MRC High Compression] in [File
Format] is set to [On], this feature is automatically set to 100%.
Proportional %
• Text box - Allows you to specify a desired reduction/enlargement ratio using the
scroll buttons. You can also enter the value by touching the text box and using the
numeric keypad on the control panel. The value can be specified within the range of
25-400% in 1% increments.
• 100% - Scans at the same size as the original document.
• Presets - Allows you to select a reduction/enlargement ratio from the seven preset
ratios. The presets are set up by the System Administrator.
Enter Output Size
Allows you to select an output size from the standard paper sizes.
Original Orientation
This feature allows you to specify the orientation of your document.
1.
Select [Original Orientation] on
the [Layout Adjustment] screen.
2.
Select the required option.
3.
Select [Save].
NOTE: For the WorkCentre 5225A/
5230A, when the Searchable Text feature is enabled in [File Format], the [Searchable
- Page Orientation] setting in the System Administration mode overrides this [Original
Orientation] setting. For details on the [Searchable - Page Orientation] setting, refer to
the Setups chapter in the System Administration Guide.
