20. Unexpected Performance Decrease

• Do not install graphics card in slot 1 if using Firmware version 4.8 or
higher on your j6000 Workstation.
To check version of firmware:
reboot
check the first line that appears
...or from the sti boot prompt, enter in fw
• See the "Optimization" section of the sv6 Installation and User's
Guide for more details.

21. Using the DigiSwitch to Narrow Down Problems

• On the master system; open a terminal window.
• Use the dinc command to attach to the Workstation(s) where there
are problems.
/usr/local/bin/dinc /dev/digi/<slave.gigabit.hostname>
• The Digi EtherLite Terminal server is configured to access each
Workstation's serial port via the 10/100 BaseT switch.
• This will allow you to see everything happening on the slave system
without having to plug in a mouse, keyboard and monitor.
