The Start button, Transport, Scan mode, Feeder delay, and Doc. output buttons are all
contained within the Transport Control menu which is displayed by tapping the Transport
Control button found on the

Start Button

The Start button defines the start method the scanner uses. The available methods are:
Direct: The scan starts when the scanner receives the start command from the application.
Direct is the default method.
Wait: The scan will only start if the foot pedal is pressed or through the use of other
software (scan batch wizard)
Always: The scan starts automatically when a document is inserted into the scanner. This
feature is unavailable at this time

Transport

The Transport button controls the speed of the transport so as to handle sensitive or fragile
documents more effectively. There are available settings:
Normal (Default)
Slow – Scanning speed is reduced and the paper handling is relaxed, treating sensitive or
fragile documents with more care and safety. This setting can also be helpful for untrained
operators

Scan Mode

The Scan Mode button has two available settings:
Fast (Default): This setting is available in binary only and will scan at fast, draft quality rate
suitable for binary line art drawings and newspaper quality text or any scanning that requires
general quality reproduction and detail. If the Scan Mode is set to Fast and the file type
involves color, the Scan Mode will automatically reset to H. Quality
