x. Communication Settings
Use this menu command to display the "Communication Settings" dialog
box and change the communication settings of the selected device. This
command works only on the following devices: COM, LPT, USB,
Ethernet, IEEE802.11b, or devices using the keyboard interface (such
as Printer, LineDisplay, CashDrawer, MSR, Keylock, MICR,
CheckScanner, ElectronicJournal).
Communication Settings of slave devices with Hydra connection cannot
be modified. Also, Communication Settings of device with Hydra
connection can only be performed from the master device. When the
master device is changed, settings of all of its slave devices are
changed as well.
On Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista, the user must
have the administrative permissions in order to use this function.
