Syntax and arguments
When initially inserted into a job, the command syntax and default arguments are:
SnapshotStorageVolumeToContainer ( %storvol_unc_name%, %container_unc_name%,
DEMAND_ALLOCATED, NOWAIT )
UNC Storage Volume Name (%storvol_unc_name%). Select or enter the UNC name of the storage
volume to copy.
UNC Container Name (%container_unc_name%). Select or enter the UNC name of the storage container
to use for the snapshot.
Snapshot Type. Select demand_allocated or fully_allocated.
Wait for Discovery. Select wait or nowait. See jobs

• Associated validation commands.
• Agent and license prerequisites. Requires a local replication license for the storage system on
which the storage volume is located.

• This command cannot be used with some older versions of controller software.

SnapshotStorageVolumesToContainers

Creates preallocated snapshots (point-in-time copies) of multiple storage volumes, by using containers.

FULLY_ALLOCATED, NOWAIT )
UNC Storage Volume Names (%storvol_unc_name%). Select or enter the UNC names of the storage

UNC Container Names (%container_unc_names%). Select or enter the UNC names of the storage
containers to use for the snapshots. Or, select a variable used in a prior step that represents the containers.
