Shake the toner cartridge from side to side four or five times so that the ton-
er moves freely inside of the cartridge.
Rotate the joint ( ) to confirm that it rotates easily. If the joint does not turn
easily, tap the end of the cartridge and shake it again.

Insert the end of the toner cartridge into the toner holder on the left ( ). In-
sert the toner cartridge into the right in the direction of the arrow ( ).
Do not rotate the cartridge until you remove the tape (next step).

Slowly remove the tape from the toner cartridge.
