Troubleshooting
Problem
It takes a long time to
complete a print job.
Print jobs take a long
time to complete.

Processing time de-
pends on data vol-
ume. High volume
data, such as graph-
ics-heavy documents,
take longer to pro-
cess.
If a print job is data
heavy, it will take
longer to complete.
Cause
The folding finisher is
offline.
The optional device is
not configured cor-
rectly on the printer
driver.
Translucent paper or
film was specified.
The folding finisher is
offline.
Solution
Wait for a moment.
Making the following setting on the printer
driver may reduce the computer's workload.
• Select [Speed] in the [Print priority] on the
[Print Quality] tab in the printing preferences
dialog box.
• Also, select the [User settings] check box, and
then click [Change User Settings...]. Select the
lower value for the [Resolution:] list on the
[Image Adjustments] tab in the [Change User
Settings] dialog box.

If the Data In indicator is blinking, data has
been received by the printer. Wait for a mo-
ment.
Solution
When the folding finisher is offline, folding
cannot be specified.
Turn off the power switches of both the printer
and folding finisher, and then turn them back
on again in the following order: folding finish-
er, and then the printer.
Then check the folding finisher is online.
Configure the optional device correctly using
[Change Accessories...] on the printer driver. See
the printer driver Help.
Translucent paper and film are not available for
folding. They are delivered to the upper output
stacker, but not folded. Select another paper
type, and then specify folding.
Turn off the power switch of both the printer
and folding finisher, and then turn them back
on again in the following order: folding finish-
er, and then the printer.
Then check the folding finisher is online.
