INFINITY LOCK
This mode allows you to take photographs of distant
subjects through glass.
• Press the shutter release at the same time as pressing
the button marked .
• The function is cancelled as soon as you release the
infinity button.
Notes:
• In infinity mode the green LED does not light up when
the shutter release is pressed.
• The camera switches the flash off automatically to
prevent it from being triggered inadvertently.
SELF-TIMER
The self-timer feature allows you to get into the picture or
to reduce camera shake. (Ex. 18)
Self-timer with 10-seconds delay
1. Press the self-timer button until the self-timer symbol
appears in the LCD panel.
2. Press the shutter release. The self-timer symbol
starts to flash in the LCD panel. (Fig. 10)
3. The shutter is released after about 10 seconds.
Self-timer with 2-second delay
1. Press the self-timer button until the self-timer symbol
appears in the LCD panel.
2. Press the shutter release. The self-timer symbol
starts to flash in the LCD panel. (Fig. 10)
3. The shutter is released after about 2 seconds.
Note
• Use the short delay for photos taken with tele focal
lengths and slow shutter speeds or for close-ups shot
with slow shutter speeds. In both cases vibrations can
occur when the shutter release is triggered, resulting
in blurred pictures. While the self-timer is in operation
the vibrations diminish and blurred pictures are
avoided.
