AUTOMATIC TIME EXPOSURE
WITH THE FLASH OFF
Use this mode when you want to take photographs by
available light in the twilight or in poorly lit interiors.
Shutter speed and aperture are controlled automatically.
1. Press the flash button
is next to 0FF and the night symbol
the LCD panel.
2. If there is a risk of blur, the red LED flashes slowly.

Notes:
• Unlike with time exposure (BULB), the shutter speed
is controlled by the automatic exposure control. If this
cannot provide a slow enough shutter speed, the pic-
ture will be underexposed!
• When there is not sufficient available light, a slower
shutter speed will be used. Steady the camera on an
improvised support or use a tripod to avoid camera
shake.
Hints:
• Use this mode if the main area of interest is very large
or very far away and cannot be illuminated by flash.
• Use this mode if a flash would disturb the mood of the
picture (e.g. when shooting a sunset or by lamp light).
