NORMAL

In NORMAL mode, automatic exposure controls shutter
speed and aperture. This default setting is suitable for
most subjects.
1. Keep pressing the MODE button until the arrow in the
LCD panel points to NORMAL.
2. Shutter speed and aperture are set according to the
film speed and ambient brightness.
Note:
The camera has shutter speeds between 1/3 and 1/400
sec.

Caution:
• If the subject moves during the exposure the picture
will be blurred. To prevent this, select a fast shutter
speed or use flash.
• Moving the camera during the exposure will also
cause the picture to come out blurred. You can pre-
vent camera shake by selecting fast shutter speeds,
using flash or supporting the camera on a firm base
or tripod.
• If pictures are likely to turn out blurred because of
subject movement or camera shake, keep the focal
length as short as possible. The zoom lens here offers
large apertures which allow fast shutter speeds. If
necessary, the main area of interest can be en-
hanced at the processing laboratory by selective en-
largement. (Selective enlargements are more expen-
sive than standard enlargements!)
• High-speed films (ISO 400/27 or higher) also help
with fast shutter speeds.
