Red jacket pumps are centrifugal type pumps and are not designed to pump product when
the level is below the bottom end of the UMP.
Dimensions For Pump Selection
Figure 4 shows the dimensions needed to ensure a correctly sized pump.
Distance between centerline of pump motor and centerline of bottom fill tube should be 3
feet (914 mm) minimum. Air locking of pump after product delivery may occur at distances
less than this.
