CPU Board
Use the following steps to remove the CPU board (see Figure Section 4-16).
1.
Turn off system power. Remove the AC adapter or battery pack (if installed).
Remove the following as previously described.

primary battery pack
n
diskette drive
n
hard disk drive
n
memory card
n
any options
n
LCD
n
top cover
n
keyboard
n
LCD indicator panel
Disconnect the CMOS battery from connector P8 on the CPU board.

Lift the CPU board out of connectors P1 and P2.
