2. Remove the two screws that secure the backboard to the support bracket (see
Figure 5-5).
3. Pull the backboard out from its connector on the system board and remove it from
the system.

3 1/2-Inch Diskette and Hard Disk Drive Removal

Remove the 3 1/2-inch diskette drive and 3 1/2-inch hard disk drive as follows.
1. Remove the system unit cover as previously described.
Unplug the diskette drive power cable and signal cable from the diskette drive

(see Figure 5-6).
Unplug the hard disk drive power cable and signal cable from the hard disk drive.
