8. Replace the power supply and reattach the power supply cables to the system
board.

Removing the Minitower Side Panel

Remove the side panel only if you are installing a 5 1/4-inch device in the top slot. (The
second and middle slots install using rails from the front.) The side panel does not need to
be removed if you are installing a 3 1/2-inch hard disk drive.
If you are installing a 3 1/2-inch hard disk drive (see "Installing the 3 1/2-Inch Drive" earlier
in this section).
Remove the system unit cover as previously described.

2. Remove the side panel by removing the two screws from the top of the panel (see
the following figure).

Removing the Minitower Front Panel

Remove the front panel only if you are installing a 5 1/4-inch device. The front panel does
not need to be removed if you are installing a 3 1/2-inch hard disk drive.
