TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom
The interactive flat panel isn't turning off
when people leave the room.
The interactive flat panel is turning on
after it has been turned off.
The interactive flat panel is turning on
when people aren't present.
The interactive flat panel is turning off
when people are present.
Resolving image issues
Use the following table to resolve image issues:
Symptom
The image is too light, too dark or has
poor image quality.
There is a persistent image on the
screen.

Cause
There is glass, acrylic or similar material
between you and the
interactive flat panel.
Presence detection isn't enabled.
The time before the
interactive flat panel automatically turns
off is too long.
The re-enable time is too short to allow
you to exit the room before the sensor
starts detecting motion again.
Sunlight is hitting the
interactive flat panel.
There is glass, acrylic or similar material
between you and the
interactive flat panel.
There's a sudden temperature change
in the room (for example, humidifier
emission, air conditioning or heating
system).
Sunlight is hitting the
interactive flat panel.
Over time, presence detection
averages the room temperature so
people's body temperature becomes
part of the ambient temperature.
Cause
The interactive flat panel's picture
settings might be incorrect.
You or another user pressed and held
the Mute button on the front control
panel of the SMART Board 6065-V2 or
6075 interactive flat panel, causing the
screen to freeze.
Solution
Remove the material.
Enable presence detection (see
page 49).
Reduce the time before the
interactive flat panel automatically turns
off (see page 49).
Increase the re-enable time (see
page 49).
Close any blinds or shades.
Remove the material.
Remove the source of major
temperature fluctuation.
Close any blinds or shades.
Increase the time before the
interactive flat panel automatically turns
off (see page 49).
Solution
Adjust the Picture options (see
page 46).
Unfreeze the screen by doing one of
the following:
Press and hold the Mute button.

Change input sources.
l
Disconnect the currently selected
l
input source.
Exit Standby mode.
