0.4 CE marking of the machine
The machine should have a label with markings similar to those in the picture, as well as controller ELK-CI01. If this is
not the case, inform the Technical Support Service (see rear page of manual).
0.5 Designated uses and uses to be avoided
The designated use of Manusa automatic doors is to allow access for pedestrians without them having to press any
control or component. Uses which are prohibited must be avoided and are listed below:
•
Modifying the door or any of its components
•
Allowing children to play with the door or any of its accessories, particularly the remote control
•
Disconnecting, handling, or taking out of service any of the door's safety components
•
Allowing work to be carried out on the door by technicians not authorised by Manusa
•
Using spare parts that are not Manusa originals
•
Using the door to support persons or objects
This list has taken into account reasonably foreseeable incorrect uses of the door. Nevertheless, Manusa accepts no
liability for possible accidents or damage incurred as the result of inappropriate uses not referred to above.
0.6 Location: Physical and Environmental Requirements
Automatic doors by Manusa must be installed only in indoor places that meet the following requirements:
•
Smooth, level and even floor
•
Stable walls with sufficient load-bearing capacity
•
Levelled partition profiles
•
No vibrations and shocks in the vicinity of the door
•
Operating temperature: -15ºC to +50ºC
•
Relative air humidity: the electrical and electronic operating elements produced to work in tropical climates are
given a surface treatment that protects them from the surrounding humidity
Risk Prevention Measures:
The self-adjustment or on/off operations must be performed from a sensible distance.
Never if a technician is up a ladder or handling the operator.
Do not touch the inside of the machine if you have not disconnected the electrical
supply to the machine first.
Choose one or several of the following:
•
Install the door respecting the following safety distances wherever possible:
•
Upper limb protections: d < 8 mm or d > 25 mm
•
Head protection: d > 200 mm
•
Body protection: d > 500 mm
•
Install presence sensors in the opening and closing areas
•
Install barriers, guards or dissuasive guards in the hazardous areas.
