Replacing a Pen Battery

Replace the pen AAAA battery once a year or when the pen stops
functioning. A standard AAAA battery can be purchased from
most electronics retailers or from your Compaq authorized dealer,
reseller, or service provider.
The time the pen can operate on a new battery varies with use. In
most cases, a new AAAA battery can run a pen that is used
approximately 8 hours a day for 6 months.
To replace the pen battery:
1. Remove the pen from the pen holder 1 .
2. Unscrew the pen tip end of the pen barrel from the pen tether
eyelet end of the pen barrel 2 .
3. Remove the used pen battery.
4. Insert the AAAA battery included with the tablet PC into
the pen with the positive pole (+) facing the pen tip 3 . (The
positive end of the battery 4 touches the circuit board in
the pen tip end of the pen.)
5. Screw the pen tether eyelet end of the pen barrel onto the pen
tip end of the pen barrel 5 .
