Stopping and Removing a CompactFlash Card

CAUTION: To prevent loss of work or an unresponsive system, stop a
CompactFlash card before removing it.
An inserted CompactFlash card uses power even when it is not in
use. To conserve power, stop a CompactFlash card when you are
not using it.
1. Close all applications and complete all activities that are
supported by the CompactFlash card.
2. To stop a CompactFlash Card, select the Safely Remove
Hardware icon in the system tray, then follow the instructions
on the screen. (To display the Safely Remove Hardware icon,
select in the system tray the icon for Show Hidden Icons.)
3. To release the CompactFlash card, press the CompactFlash
card eject button 1 .
4. Gently pull out the CompactFlash card 2 .
