Intervening in the interpretation system

During the interpretation session, you can:
send text messages to the interpreter consoles,
monitor the status of all interpreter consoles,
change the language for the B-channel of an interpreter console.

Sending text messages to the interpreter consoles

To create text messages and send them to the interpreter consoles:
Click "Message" on the menu bar.
The "Message" window opens.
Enter the message in the "Line 1 and "Line 2" boxes. You can enter up
to 24 charcters per box.
Alternatively, you can select a message from the message list by
clicking the arrow of drop down list box.
In the "Send to" box, click the "Booth" drop down list box and select the
number of the booth to which you want to send the message.
In the "Send to" box, click the "Desk" drop down list box and select the
number of the interpreter console to which you want to send the
message.
To automatically add a newly created message to the message list:
Click the "Automatically add message to messages list" check box.
When you send the message, it is automatically added to the message
list.
Click the "Send" button.
The message is sent to the selected interpreter console(s). The yellow
"Message" LED on the corresponding console(s) lights up. The
interpreter can read the message while pressing the "Message" key
and keeping it pressed. Please note that there is no feedback as to
whether the message is actually read.
