Safety information
– Before using this product, carefully read these instructions
for use and those of the associated products.
– Strictly follow the instructions for use. The user must fully
understand and strictly observe the instructions. Use the
product only for the purposes specified in the intended use
section of this document.
– Do not dispose of the instructions for use. Ensure that they
are stored and used appropriately by the user.
– Only trained and competent users are permitted to use
this product.
– Do not use a faulty or incomplete product. Do not modify
the product.
– Notify Dräger in the event of any component fault or
failure.
– Comply with all local and national rules and regulations
associated with this product.
– Only trained and competent personnel are permitted to
inspect, repair and service the product. Dräger
recommends a Dräger service contract for all
maintenance activities and that all repairs are carried out
by Dräger.
– Use only genuine Dräger spare parts and accessories.
Otherwise, the proper functioning of the product may be
impaired.
– Only use the accessories listed in this document, as other
accessories may result in increased electromagnetic
interference or reduced electromagnetic immunity.
– Portable RF communication devices (radios), including
their accessories, such as antenna cables and external
antennas, should not be used closer than 30 cm
(12 inches) from the parts and ducts of the device
designated by the manufacturer. Failure to observe this
information may result in a decline in device performance.
This does not include smartphones.
– The instructions for use correspond with DIN 60601-1-2,
section 5.2.1.1 f).
These instructions for use are available in further
languages and can be downloaded in electronic form on the
according product website (www.draeger.com) or a printed
version can be ordered free of charge via Dräger or specialist
shops.
Use only chargers, power packs or batteries approved by
Dräger for this product.

Intended Use

The breath alcohol testing device Dräger Alcotest
med is used to quickly measure the breath alcohol
concentration in a person's breath in healthcare facilities and
other medical settings.
User Group
The breath alcohol testing device Dräger Alcotest
authorized testers to carry out breath samples on patients.
Authorized testers are employees who work in the medical
sector and carry out breath samples as part of medical use
(e.g. ambulance service, doctors, nurses). Users also include
service technicians from Dräger or service technicians
authorized by Dräger. The patient is not the user of the
product. The application is not intended for children and
