Connector Definitions

Power Connectors
To provide adequate power supply
to the serverboard, two 8-pin power
connectors (JP5), and two 4-pin power
connectors (JP3/JP4) are located on the
serverboard. The 8-pin power connectors
provide power supply to the serverboard.
The 4-pin power connectors are used to
provide power to onboard HDDs.
SATA_DOM/SAS Power Connectors
In addition to 4-pin and 8-pin power
connectors, two 3-pin power connectors
(JSD1/JSD2) are used to provide power
to onboard SATA DOM (Disk_On_
Module) devices, and one 2-pin power
connector (JPSAS1) is used for SAS
power supply. Connect an appropriate
cables here to provide power for your
SATA DOM and SAS devices. See the
layout below for the locations of the
power connectors.
Warning: To ensure adequate power supply to your serverboard, be sure to connect
all the power connectors mentioned above to your power supply For proper system
operation.
Power Button
A p o w e r b u t t o n i s l o c a t e d a t
POWERBUTTON on the serverboard.
Connect a cable here to use the power
button, which will allow you to power on
or power off the system from the front
side of the chassis. See the layout for
the location.
