Saving configurations
Any configuration changes made by the administrator must be saved to the non-volatile
memory (NVRAM). This is done in the NVRAM menu accessed from the Main menu

Select Yes to clear contents of NVRAM and restore configuration defaults

To ensure that data is not lost or corrupted, always turn off ACS-8990 using the
Shut Down command. To shut down, first shut down the terminal/host system, then
select Shut Down from the NVRAM menu. Finally, power off ACS-8990.

Restart
Yes or No (default: No)
Select Yes to restart ACS-8990.

Any changes made in this menu will cause data on the drives to be
permanently erased. ACS-8990 should be offline before configuration changes
are saved.

ACS-8990 must be restarted for any configuration changes made within the
Quick Setup, RAID params and SCSI//FC params menus to take effect.
Configuration changes made from the RS232, System Params and RAID
Funcs menus do not require restart.
