for a single array
LUN mapping
Specify communication protocols between ACS-8990 and the
external modem and between ACS-8990 and the remote
terminal or terminal emulation software (if used). Turn to
Setting port parameters.
The administrator should replace the default password. Turn to
Password security.
The administrator can specify up to two fax numbers and two
pager numbers to which alert messages will be sent in the
event of an error with ACS-8990. Turn to Entering and editing
alert settings.
The default settings are appropriate for most users. Turn to
Advanced settings. Then proceed with RAID configuration.
Use the Quick Setup facility to set up an array using as many
connected drives as possible. Turn to Chapter 3, Quick Setup.
Create a single array then set the following individual
parameters:
RAID level
Number of disks
Number and size of slices
Turn to Setting array parameters
Map each slice to a LUN.
Users of the SCSI interface model should turn to Setting SCSI
parameters. Users of the fibre channel interface model should
turn to Setting fibre channel parameters.
