Installing the Analyzer and its Sample System

Pre-Installation Requirements

Installation drawings in this section are for typical installations.
Customer-specific drawings supplied with the system supersede the
drawings included here.
The installation of the WDG-V HP Series and WDG-V/S Series Analyzers
must be in accordance with all of the customer (end user) and local
regulatory standards and procedures. There are no operator-service-
able components inside the WDG-V/S Series and WDG-V HP Series
Analyzers. Refer service requirements to qualified personnel.
Read this entire section before beginning installation of the analyzer.
Failure to do so, and/or use of the WDG-V HP Series or WDG-V/S Series
Analyzer in a manner not specified in this manual, may impair the
protection against fire, electrical shock, and personal injury originally
provided by this equipment.
During process start-up and whenever power is removed from the
analyzer, the aspirator should be turned off (WDG-V/S Series only) and
instrument air applied to the calibration gas port at 1.5–2 SCFH flow
to ensure the process gas is purged from the analyzer. The 1.5–2 SCFH
purge through the calibration port should be maintained until the
analyzer is turned on and is hot – preferably 24 hours.
Do not turn on the aspirator until the analyzer has been turned on and
is hot – preferably 24 hours. If you turn off the analyzer or the process
is shut down, turn off the aspirator to avoid plugging problems.
