Installing the Sample Inlet Probe

This section includes separate procedures on how to install the Sample Inlet
Probe for WDG-V HP Series and WDG-V/S Series Analyzers.
Installing the Sample Inlet Probe and Probe Filter
(WDG-V HP Series)
The sample probe and filter must be attached to the back of the sensor before
mounting the sensor to the process.
To install the sample probe and filter:
1. Remove all protective plastic caps and plugs from the probe filter and inlet
2. Thread the 1/4-inch pipe inlet probe into the manifold block on the rear of

not to bend or damage this tube as you insert the probe. The connection
should be tight enough to prevent loosening by vibration, but does not
need to be leak-tight. Coating the threads with a Neolube graphite coating
or a similar non-silicone graphite material will also help prevent galling.

with the insulated sleeve facing towards the sensor, and not facing towards
the process. This insulating sleeve will help prevent the process gas from
cooling below its dew point as it approaches the sensor.
Screw the filter assembly onto the end of the exhaust tube.
