- Do not slide the power cable
on sharp edges.
- Do not pinch or crush the pow-
er cable.
- Do not use the unit with wet or
damp hands.
- The plug must be removed
from the socket before any
maintenance or cleaning pro-
cedures are implemented.
- When depositing the unusable
unit at appropriate collection
points, the power cord must be
removed in order to ensure it is
not used.
WARNING:
Do not allow the supply cord to
come into contact with the ro-
tating brushes.
1.2.i - General warnings about
the batteries
- The battery acid is corrosive: in
case of contact with skin, rinse
thoroughly with water and con-
sult a physician.
- Wear protective goggles and
gloves for use with corrosive
substances.
- Do not inhale the vapour: it is
dangerous.
- Charging the battery may form
explosive mixtures of gas, so
the rooms in which the battery
is charged must be well venti-
lated and in accordance with
specific rules.
- It is forbidden to smoke and/
or use naked flames within 2
metres of the battery during
charging, in the charging area
and while the battery is cooling
after charging.
- Hazardous voltage / current
inside the battery. The battery
pack is not a serviceable part.
Never attempt to open the bat-
tery for any reason.
- Report any liquid leaking from
the battery:
leaks are dangerous and high-
ly polluting.
- Use only sealed GEL or AGM
batteries.
- Batteries must be replaced
only by qualified personnel.
1.2.l - General warnings during
maintenance
- Disconnect the batteries be-
fore performing maintenance
and repair operations.
- Do not rest tools and metal ob-
jects on the batteries; danger
of short circuits.
- Do not use aggressive de-
tergents, acid, lye etc. during
cleaning and washing and take
particular care with electrical
parts.
- Do not wash the machine with
direct or pressurised jets of
water.
- Clean the unit using a water
moistened cloth.
