MAINTENANCE
LUBRICATE DRIVE SHAFT
When using lithium-based grease, or after changing to
lithium-based grease, carry out greasing every 250 hours.
Special drive shaft grease is used when the machine is shipped
from the factory, so it is unnecessary to carry out greasing for the
first 6000 hours or 2 years.
REMARK
If special drive shaft grease is used continuously, carry out
greasing every 6000 hours or every 2 years.
Special drive shaft grease: 56B-20-19910
1. Using a grease pump, pump in grease through the grease
fittings marked by the arrows.
2. Grease the spider portion until grease comes out from the cap
seal.
3. After greasing, wipe off any old grease that was pushed out.
CHECK DRIVE SHAFT
If there is any problem, such as looseness of the drive shaft
connection, play in the spline or bearing portion, or runout of the
shaft, please contact your Komatsu distributor for repair.
