Connecting a device to the SATA3 data
connectors
Besides the M.2-connected solid state drive (SSD) pre-installed in the unit, the
Matrox 4Sight XV6 motherboard provides eight 7-pin SATA3 data connectors
for connecting additional storage devices, such as hard disk drives or solid-state
drives (SSDs). If you chose to connect a device to one of these connectors, note
that the unit only has space for a maximum of two SATA 2.5" HDD or SSD
devices up to 9.5 mm thick. In addition, SATA3 connector 1 is shared with the
M.2 M-key socket; therefore, this connector is unusable when the M.2 SSD is
installed.
